In the experiences I have had in distance running, I have been able to gain an abundance of knowledge and expertise in the sport. I have a significant track record and been on numerous great teams where I was able to contribute to winning 3 national championships.
Track & Field
I began running at a young age and have had significant success. I won a state championship in my senior year of high school in the 800m and 3rd place in the 1600m. Our team won the state championship that year. In XC, my team also won a state championship.
Graduate of UF
I am a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Sports Journalism. This degree helped me view the sports world in several areas and different perspectives. Combining my degree with my athletic career at UF has given me a background and discipline that will vastly assist me as a coach.
Coaching
I am currently a distance coach at Oak Hall School in Gainesville, FL. I am coaching both Cross-Country and Track & Field. Our team is almost exclusively made up of distance runners, and my job there is to coach the distance and middle distance runners.
